Vision Statement
About the Alliance
A Shared Purpose.
A Lasting Responsibility.
The Technology Stewardship Alliance is being built to turn expertise across industries into a shared capacity for stewardship. Our vision defines the future we seek; our mission defines the work.
Mission Statement
To unite technology ecosystems so knowledge, capabilities and resources can move across traditional boundaries, strengthening the industrial foundations required to innovate, compete and advance technology responsibly.
Our Discipline
Systems Stewardship.
The Alliance advances Technology Stewardship through Systems Stewardship: connecting expertise across technology and the materials, infrastructure, energy, water and workforce that sustain it. This shared understanding enables action to preserve value, strengthen resilience and secure technological leadership.
Independent and guided by the interests of the whole system, the Alliance enables collaboration within a defined framework of antitrust compliance, intellectual property protection and pre-competitive scope.
Governance
Board of Directors
The Alliance is in its founding phase. Board information and director profiles will be added as appointments and governance arrangements are formally confirmed.
Founding governance is taking shape.
From Governance to Action
Initial Working Groups
The Alliance will organize working groups around defined priorities where collaboration across industries and institutions is needed. Each group will pursue a time-bound mission established with the Alliance’s governing body, with clear objectives, defined deliverables and findings that inform work across the Alliance.
Materials · Capability · Markets
Critical Materials & Reintegration
Focused on strengthening the pathways required to recover critical and engineered materials from technology and return them to productive use.
The group will bring together technology owners, recovery companies, processors, manufacturers, trade associations, standards bodies, government, researchers, investors and innovators to map existing and emerging capabilities across materials, recovery processes, processing capacity, scale and commercial readiness. This will include companies operating today, capabilities under development and research that could lead to future solutions.
The resulting landscape will help participants identify partners, understand where materials can go, reveal gaps in domestic capability and connect promising technologies with the feedstock, investment, qualification pathways and market demand needed to advance.
Energy · Water · Infrastructure
Energy, Water & Infrastructure Resilience
Focused on understanding the energy, water and infrastructure requirements created by the growth of artificial intelligence, data centers, semiconductor manufacturing and other technology-intensive industries.
The group will bring together technology companies, utilities, communities, government, trade associations, standards bodies, researchers and innovators to improve measurement and visibility, map existing and emerging capabilities, and help shape the infrastructure required to support the next era of technology.
This includes evaluating opportunities across advanced energy, nuclear power, water reuse, cooling, storage and other greentech solutions while considering their implications across the broader system.
What Comes Next
Additional Working Groups
Additional working groups will be established as Alliance members identify shared dependencies, emerging opportunities and areas requiring focused collaboration.
